Do you not feel like yourself?

“When I was depressed, time moved so slowly. Everything felt like a chore, even if it was meant to be fun. Things I used to enjoy just seemed like more work to do. After getting therapy I feel like myself again; I feel normal again. I have good days and bad days, just like everyone else.” -Elise, Denver

are you constantly blaming yourself?

“Depression for me was a constant drumbeat of self-blame. I felt I was a disappointment and I felt guilty for not ‘getting it together.’ I was stuck in a cycle of lashing out and isolating myself. Now, after getting therapy, I actually like myself. I never thought that would happen. The depression doesn’t rule my life anymore.” -Matt, Denver

Are you feeling irritable too often?

“I looked all over Denver to find the right therapist. I knew I shouldn’t feel like crying every day. I used to not be irritable all the time. I used to feel motivation for things.
